Sheppys Cider Tours
It's a great day out to visit Sheppys Cider, with an impressive farm shop, deli and butchery, plus a cafe. They run tours between March and end November at 2pm Saturdays and 11am Sundays. Over 1.5 hours we got to walk through the orchards with our knowledgeable tour guide, see behind the cider-making scenes, including a walk through the press house and vat house, home to some very shiny kit! And if that wasn't enough, there's a museum with informational DVD and crammed full of exhibits from across the years. We rounded off the tour with tasting a whole range of ciders from the traditional flat scrumpy to more recent additions to the Sheppys' repertoire. We even got a glass to take away with us!
We had a great afternoon at Sheppys Cider with an impressive farm shop and cafe topped off by 80 minute tour with Nick. Amazing 200 year history, beautiful orchards and not to mention the array of ciders sampled complete with gift glass well worth £15
