Frome Farmers Market
Frome farmers market is held 9am to 1pm on the second Saturday of the month in the beautifully renovated Cheese and Grain Market Hall. It's one of the few indoor markets in Somerset and we were grateful to be indoors on our visit as we picked a weekend of yellow weather warnings, wind and rain!
The market has won many awards over the years and is one of the biggest standalone farmers markets in the South west, recently winning a Gold Taste of the West award. There's a good range of produce to find at Frome farmers market, from fresh vegetables and meats to cheeses, bread, drinks and preserves.
Frome is stuffed full of markets from vegan to independents and we returned a few weeks later for the Frome Independent - we'll be listing that one soon!
Many of the traders don't take cards so go armed with cash (there is a cash point just outside in the foyer or in the nearby high street). And there's an on-site cafe for refreshments.
